☂ First Impressions ♫ VISUAL: Very short, very small, pale skin with dark eyes, long dark brown hair with a slight wave to it. Vanya is unassuming and doesn't stand out. ♫ FASHION: She tends to wear pretty neutral clothing. She leans a little masculine in what she chooses to wear. Hasn't worn a skirt in years. Anything loose fitting, comfortable, and that she can hide herself in. Very, very occasionally, she will wear very light makeup. ♫ DEMEANOUR: Tends to be shy, looks a little nervous most of the time. She can be friendly, but she has to work her nerve up for it. Otherwise, she's polite, a little jokey at times but mostly keeps to herself. If you can get closer to her, she tends to open up a little more, and can be very empathetic and caring. ♫ SOUND: A General American accent, with a sliiight hint of East Coast around the edges. She sometimes mumbles when she forgets to make sure she's... audible. Mid-toned. Clips here. ♫ SCENT: Whatever soap is on sale at the store. She tends towards more neutral scents than anything overly floral or sweet. ♫ MENTAL INFORMATION: While she has no defense against mind readers, they may notice that she is much more than she appears. She may feel extremely, overwhelmingly powerful to those who can sense such things. ♫ MAGICAL INFORMATION: I don't know if superhero powers count as magic. Help. ☂ OOC ♫ BACKTAGGING: I rely on this, since my activity tends to come and go with my chronic illness. ♫ FOURTHWALLING: I'd rather not in most cases, unless it's reasonable for your character to be familiar with that sort of thing. In that case, I prefer a heads up beforehand. But I do have a weakness for facetwin-based shenanigans, in case your character has met (or is) another Ellen Page. ♫ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: You're welcome to try, though Vanya will usually freeze up and not be too thrilled over it unless she's already close to the other person. In that case, she may still even flinch away at first, but she can and will hug people she genuinely loves and trusts. ♫ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: This can be supremely dangerous for pretty much everyone involved, so please ask first! Vanya is basically a ticking time bomb, and if she gets afraid and upset in a tense situation, the results could be... explosive. ♫ RELATIONSHIPS: Vanya will be very, very wary if anyone approaches her on this level. Her only relationship she ever had was with someone who was very abusive and manipulative, and this was... recent. She doesn't feel ready for trying again at this point, but don't take this to mean I won't ship with anyone. It'll just involve a lot of baggage on her end and a whole lot of content warnings, most likely. I will probably lean more toward f/f shipping with her. ☂ Permissions ♫ CONTENT WARNINGS: Vanya's past is heavy, and involves extreme child abuse and trauma, as well as domestic abuse, gaslighting, and manipulation. She has severe anxiety and PTSD and can have panic attacks or traumatic flashbacks. Her main trigger is feeling as though she's been abandoned or imprisoned.
